We also sell sanded versions which are ideal to use for pergolas or as newell posts for decking. These are sanded all round and are smooth to the touch whereas standard fence posts are rough sawn.

As a rough guide, allow a good chunk of the post to go in the ground for a solid footing, then work out your above-ground height from there.
